What hot spring spa in in Central California would be good for an affordable retreat? October 13, 2009

My friend and I are planning a trip to Santa Barbara and/or San Diego and we want to spend a night or two at a hot springs spa, or at least stay somewhere less expensive and hit a day spa with hot springs. Any suggestions? We’re also heading to San Simeon to see the Hearst Castle . It’s a “girlfriends getaway” to de-stress from our jobs & families! We’re going during winter 2009.Submited by:gypsyfeet

Little Caliente Hot Spring (north of Santa Barbara)
Big Caliente Onsen (west of Santa Barbara, near Vandenberg AFB)
