How do I have an at home doggie spa day? October 28, 2009

Massiekur asked:

I really love my dog and I feel I need to give her a spa for all she has done for me. She is a medium sized aussie/border collie mix. I already gave her a bath, so what else can I do? What spa treatments can I give my precious puppy for all the things she has done for me?
Nevermind.

I think You could make her a special meal. Something that she really enjoys but doesn’t get too often. You could also give her a nice doggy massage.

I really think you would enjoy a game or walk much more than sitting still enough for you to bathe her, brush her and clip her nails.

You have to remember humans and animals have different ideas of enjoyment :)

I think bows in her ears spray some doggie perfume on her. Try a special treat. Nail polish for dogs maybe lol
uhhh brush her coat and maybe blowdry her if she lets you.

Do a doggy massage. Do not use a lot of pressure just a firm rub, especially around the shoulders and leg joints. You will see her relax and probably go to sleep. You can also give her a bone to chew. If you take her out for a long play date with you before the massage she will enjoy it even more. Dogs also love cuddling with their owners. It gives them a feeling of security like when they were a puppy.

You could also give her a big meaty bone as a big reward like raw cow bones which you can buy from wet markets. If your dog loves massages, you could do that too.
